Why did you decide to work at Geneva Global?

Geneva Global has a unique culture—and embrace—of continued and life-long learning. Having been raised in a family of educators and public servants, continuous learning has been core to my life and professional development. The opportunity to be part of such a passionate and collaborative team, and to work with and alongside clients who share these values, enriches my life and allows me to reshape and supplement my understanding and knowledge of how our world works.

What brings you joy?

Spending time with my friends and family. Observing and spending time in nature. Travelling to new destinations and broadening my understanding of our world. Gardening and backyard birdwatching.

Who or what has inspired you to do the work that you do?

Growing up in rural Maine and in an economically disadvantaged area, I have always been curious to understand why inequalities exist, how they differ from place-to-place, and what can be done to address these problems and strengthen communities. My family always encouraged me to seek out educational opportunities and to support my local community, and I am grateful for the opportunities to learn and support communities all over the world every day through my work.

What’s an interesting fact that others would not know about you?

I have a fascination with art and antiques! As a collector of both, and as an amateur oil painter, I have a deep appreciation for the history, intent, and skill behind each piece. Though the origins or creators may be unknown, or well known, objects from the past make history tangible in our day-to-day life and connect us to individuals and the circumstances or situations in which they lived.
