Ethiopian ETV news network featured the Geneva Global’s Speed School program, in which it highlighted the accelerated learning program’s positive impact in the communities it serves. Recognized by the Ministry of Education in Ethiopia, the program offers a transformative 10-month educational experience for children, targeting specific age groups: 9 to 14. In the broadcast, a board member from Development through Adult and Nonformal Education (DANFE) and instructor at Sebata City College spoke about the psychological benefits of the Speed School program, noting how the positive psychological impact it has on children by helping the students return to traditional school with peers their own age, after only 10 months. She also emphasized the program’s effective teacher training and its innovative “learning by doing” model, which is student-centered and activity based. The Ethiopian government has future goals to officially adopt and oversee the program.
