Megan Sonier

Currently, her work includes managing a database that records all the investments—across 72 countries—of one of the world’s largest donor collaboratives that is working to achieve a major global health goal. She dives deep into analyzing this intricate data and transforms it to demonstrate impact to the collaborative’s partners.

Megan’s field experience has given her a unique perspective on how philanthropy can catalyze change around the world. Before joining Geneva Global, she completed a fellowship in sustainable development in Kenya. By observing, asking questions, and listening, she unlocked the potential of local change makers and helped them to scale their grassroots organizations. Megan’s work in East Africa sparked her interest in using business tools for social good. This led her back to her hometown in Pennsylvania, where she managed a 200 member community supported agriculture program. In addition to getting her hands dirty executing every step of the growing process, her time as an organic farmer highlighted her flexibility in the face of sudden change, innovation in problem solving, and ability to use metrics to inform decision making.

Megan graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor’s degree in history, with a minor in environmental studies. She also holds a certificate in graphic design from The New School, Parsons School of Design.
