Education for Sustainable Development

Working with a private client in Ghana, Geneva Global conducted research and provided a strategic plan concerning an innovative carbon-swap strategy to raise resources to support quality and access in education.  The proposed model also provided schools with support to operate an environmental education program of instruction and co-curricular activities.  Working within the framework of the Speed School program, we promote classroom instruction that features climate and environmental education through nature-based and community-based learning.  Pupils hone their literacy and numeracy skills and their learning of the overall curriculum by observing, researching, and analyzing the social, economic, cultural, and environmental conditions of their schools and communities and the actions and behaviors that influence these.  The select, plan, and take actions to educate others and themselves about how to be better environmental stewards and actors for sustainable development in their homes and their communities.
