Geneva Global’s Peer Assessment Model Featured as HundrED Innovation

Peer assessment is a key element of the Speed School model, fostering both academic and personal growth among students. Geneva Global has introduced peer assessment techniques in classrooms across Ethiopia and Uganda, helping students develop critical thinking, analysis, and social skills. Through collaborative group work, pupils assess each other’s work, provide constructive feedback, and refine their understanding of the curriculum, promoting self-efficacy and mutual learning. This method has proven successful, with Speed School students excelling in conventional classrooms due to their enhanced peer assessment skills.

By incorporating peer assessment, Geneva Global aims to address the challenges teachers face in large classrooms with diverse learning needs. The initiative is being expanded across districts and teacher colleges, reaching over 260,000 children. Geneva Global is committed to institutionalizing peer assessment as a foundation of quality education, helping both students and teachers improve learning outcomes.
