Adnan brings a wealth of experience as an Education Programme Manager with a strong background in the field. With over 15 years of regional and national experience in education and integrated program delivery, he has worked with leading INGOs and governments. Adnan is known for his self-driven and result-oriented approach, consistently delivering high-quality programs in challenging environments. His expertise lies in innovative and inclusive approaches to education, such as Accelerated Education Programmes (AEP), peer coaching, curriculum development, and instructional strategies.

In his current role at Geneva Global, Adnan serves as the Education Manager. He collaborates with government entities, development partners, field teams, and local communities to drive meaningful engagement and partnerships. Adnan provides technical assistance, guidance, and support to partner organizations, national NGOs, and community-based organizations, ensuring the planning and implementation of quality programs. He is particularly passionate about ensuring that the most disadvantaged out-of-school children have the opportunity to enroll and succeed in education, ultimately transitioning to formal primary education.

Adnan’s journey in the education sector began with roles at Norwegian Refugee Council, Windle International Uganda, and Rwanda Education Board, where he played pivotal roles in implementing and coordinating education programs. Notably, he led the contextualization of the Accelerated Education Programme guidelines for Uganda, collaborating with various stakeholders and organizations. Adnan takes pride in leading highly motivated teams, facilitating training sessions, and promoting the principles of accelerated education programs. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in education from Uganda Christian University, a diploma and certificate of Education from Kyambogo University, and a Certificate in Administrative Officers Law course from Uganda Christian University.

Why did you decide to work at Geneva Global?

 I decided to work at Geneva Global because I have ways wished to be part of an innovative and high performing team to transform lives and create hope in vulnerable and disadvantaged groups. The speed school programme at Geneva Global is such a unique model of accelerated education programme that closely aligns to my career path and what I have always wanted to do.

What places do you hope to visit?

I hope to visit Ethiopia to draw learnings on the impact of the speed school programme, curriculum and pedagogical practices.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

My best part of the job is working with pedagogical teams to identify teachers’ professional needs, priorities and put in place professional development activities that adequately respond to the needs, developing model lessons using a range of interactive and self-directing learning materials.

What brings you joy?

My most rewarding experience of joy is achieving outcomes and small acts of kindness. When I use my skills and effort, with the team I’m working with to get results it is really massively satisfying.
