With an ability to connect seemingly disparate concepts and stakeholders, she advises clients on strategies to advance their goals—whether it be moving the needle on an issue through advocacy or bringing together donors to leverage their collective impact with a funding mechanism. She recognizes addressing the toughest problems requires collaboration and values working closely with partners to facilitate conversations and build consensus to further their mission. She thrives in confronting complex challenges—prioritizing a strong base of research and metrics for decision making, while also deeply understanding the importance of centering the community and employing participatory methods.
Additionally, Christa advises families and individuals at beginning stages or transition moments in their giving—facilitating dynamic sessions to align their values to their grantmaking practices; diving deep on issues that matter most to them; and finding the organizations that will help them achieve the impact they’re looking to have. She partners with clients so they can embed greater equity into their grantmaking and ultimately the philanthropy sector. Previously, Christa advanced the $13M advocacy portfolio of grants for the Capital for Good Advocacy Initiative that contributed to shifting the landscape of health and development issues around the world, and partnered with a health focused donor collaborative in Asia.
Driven by her commitment to create belonging, she also co-leads culture building efforts within Geneva Global and across Global Impact Ventures to build a welcoming workplace for all.
Prior to Geneva Global, Christa applied her skills in research and analysis, evaluating the effectiveness of early childhood development interventions and assessing the financial and operational capabilities of nonprofits. She taught graduate level courses about multi-faceted local and national conflicts from Pennsylvania to Costa Rica, Serbia and Kosovo, and Northern Cyprus. Christa partnered with large international organizations while furthering human rights advocacy campaigns at Amnesty International, and community based projects while co-leading a health and development internship program in Ghana.
Christa, 21/64 certified, received a dual Master’s degree in Public Health and International Peace and Conflict Resolution from Arcadia University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Joseph’s University. She served on the Board of Trustees at Arcadia University for three years, and continues to participate in the President’s Advisory Council.
