Eyasu brings the Speed School story alive through insightful data analytics. As a Junior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Eyasu is responsible for planning, designing, and implementing all monitoring and evaluation activities for the Geneva Global Ethiopia team. Monitoring and evaluation activities are crucial to the Speed School program. Through his role, Eyasu pulls together the Speed School data to measure the program’s progress and assess its effectiveness in delivering education to out-of-school children.
Eyasu holds a bachelor’s in social work and a Master of Science in population studies from Addis Ababa University. At Geneva Global Ethiopia, Eyasu brings more than four years of mid-level research experience to his role. Prior to joining Geneva Global Ethiopia in early 2024, Eyasu worked at various organizations working with youth, adolescent girls, and women. Project documentation is Eyasu’s bread and butter. In all his roles, Eyasu leveraged his strong attention to detail to plan, design, analyze, and report monitoring and evaluation activities. Eyasu sees the impact strong monitoring and evaluation frameworks can have on projects. He sees monitoring and evaluation as a learning platform to scientifically measure and document meaningful interventions. This platform helps to build long-term impact and lessons learned from interventions.
